BARRIER INFO ist ein System zur transnationalen Sammlung verlässlicher Zugänglichkeitsinformationen. Es soll die Mobilität und Selbstständigkeit behinderter und älterer Menschen unterstützen.

Vorgestellt wird BARRIER INFO Collection Tool, die Software, die für die Datensammlung und -organisation eingesetzt wird. Sie muss drei Anforderungen genügen: Gleichförmige Präsentation der Informationen, Qualität und damit Verlässlichkeit der Angaben und Flexibilität in der Anwendung um allen Nutzerbedürfnissen entgegenzukommen.

BARRIER INFO Collection Tool: a variable structure for the transnational provision of quality access information

BARRIER INFO is a system for the transnational distribution of reliable access information. It is used to support the mobility and autonomy of disabled and elderly people. The BARRIER INFO Collection Tool is used to collect data and to maintain and organise the data stored in the system.

It must ensure that three requirements are met:
The first requirement is uniformity. It must ensure that the information supplied by different sources can be evaluated and presented in the same way. Secondly, the tool must ensure quality. It must be possible to verify the reliability and usability of information. And finally, it must enable flexibility. Different areas of application should be supported, and different types of user needs should be served. The collection instrument will be presented, several important aspectes of the collection concept will be discussed.
